Job Title: Educational Assistant Full-time

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at Buffalo Trail Public Schools. The successful candidate will work closely with our Kindergarten class, providing support and assistance to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with physical requirements, including lifting and transfers, as needed.
  • Support students with language delays, behavior challenges, emotional dysregulation, fine and gross motor delays.
  • Assist with personal hygiene and daily living skills.
  • Implement educational instruction to identified students, including researching and preparing materials and supplies.
  • Assist in data collection, monitoring, and reporting student progress to the classroom teacher and/or Inclusive Learning Teacher.
  • Modify classroom and curriculum materials to meet the needs of students.
  • Assist students in developing academic, social, behavior, and life skill goals.
  • Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional periods.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to carry out prescribed exercises and programs.
  • Act as a liaison or advocate for all students.
Requirements:
  • Ability to assist with physical requirements, including lifting and transfers, as needed.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including language delays, behavior challenges, and emotional dysregulation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
