Job Title: Substitute Educational Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Substitute Educational Assistant to join our team at St. Jerome's School in Vermilion, Alberta.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assume the responsibilities of the educational assistant in their absence, working under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume the responsibilities of the educational assistant in their absence, under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher, colleagues, and students.
  • Maintain confidentiality of students and school personal information.
  • Comply with and support Division and school policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the classroom teacher and principal.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of educational assistant responsibilities and policies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.
  • A valid Social Insurance Number and a recent and clean Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
