We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Benefits Growth Manager to join our team in the Toronto region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a national provider of benefits, retirement, wealth, wellness, and human resource solutions.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to retain and grow relationships for assigned group benefits clients. As a key member of our team, you will be committed to understanding client needs and working collaboratively with supporting teams to unlock opportunities that enhance their benefits journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic consulting plans for client relationships to drive growth and retention
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities that add value for clients, leveraging industry expertise and internal/external resources
  • Analyze data and multiple carrier proposals to prepare cost comparisons, facilitate presentations, and make recommendations for clients
  • Work with analysts and underwriters on client renewals, reporting, and reviews, creating commentary for presentations
  • Perform ad-hoc investigations of claims data to explain trends to clients
  • Provide technical and peer review support for analysts and other associates
  • Coordinate new business implementations and prepare documents for client presentations
  • Build strong relationships with Plan Sponsors, Administrators, and Representatives to deliver exceptional service
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Commerce or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in group benefits in a client-facing role
  • Strong understanding of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements
  • A Life license is required
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, with comfort working with multi-channel technology
