We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ALMAC MOTOR HOTEL. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Estimated SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionAs a Hotel Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and safe for guests. Your tasks will include:
- Maintenance of hallways, floors, and stairs including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing;
- Emptying trash cans and other waste containers;
- Performing minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems;
- Contacting contractors for major repairs;
- Conducting safety and security checks;
- Supervising other workers;
- Moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies;
You will work independently with minimal supervision and perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field;
- Dependability, initiative, judgement, reliability, and strong communication skills;
This is a physically demanding role that requires bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
