Job Summary:

The Salvation Army is seeking a reliable and trustworthy Warehouse Driver to assist with the transportation of donations and goods. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for picking up and delivering donations, as well as assisting with the processing and storage of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver donations and goods
  • Assist with the processing and storage of donations, including unloading, sorting, packing, and loading
  • May assist with selecting donations for store distribution, meeting established standards of quality and distinguishing between discarded and good quality merchandise
  • May assist with meeting assigned daily targets, including counting, weighing, and recording incoming and outgoing donations
  • May be required to contact or make phone calls to confirm deliveries and/or pick-ups
  • Comply with all safety procedures and in/outdoor tidy maintenance guidelines
  • May operate warehouse equipment, such as a power jack

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • A valid BC Class 5 Driver's License supported by a clean Driver's Abstract

Experience and Skills:

  • Up to 12 months of prior related experience, including experience with warehouse processing or goods distribution and knowledge of lifting guidelines
  • Experience in sorting food and goods
  • Punctuality, reliability, trustworthiness
  • Ability to lift and move more than 40 pounds
