Marble Setter

We are seeking a skilled Marble Setter to join our team at AtwoZ Renos Inc. as a key member of our installation team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with precision and accuracy.
- Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Prepare rough plans and sketches to visualize and communicate design concepts.
- Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a secure and level fit.
- Align and straighten tiles to achieve a visually appealing and professional finish.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, minimizing waste and ensuring a seamless fit.
- Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices and techniques.
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring a safe and functional surface.
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, requiring attention to detail and creativity.
- Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, ensuring a sturdy and secure foundation.
- Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, requiring precision and attention to detail.
- Estimate costs and materials, ensuring accurate and efficient project planning.
- Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, requiring a strong understanding of materials and techniques.
- Install tile strips, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.
- The Marble Setter will work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, requiring the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- The role will involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and in areas with limited visibility, requiring attention to safety protocols and procedures.
- The Marble Setter will be required to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines and ensure timely completion.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors.
- They will be a team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with clients.
- The Marble Setter will be reliable, dependable, and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- They will possess strong problem-solving skills, able to think critically and creatively in high-pressure situations.
- The ideal candidate will be accurate, client-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- 1-2 years of experience in tile installation or a related field.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to distinguish between colors and work with a variety of materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability, dependability, and ability to work independently.
