Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team at Jolly Ranchers Daycare Inc.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Supervisor will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role will also involve supervising staff, training, and volunteers, as well as synthesizing the overall situation of the children and communicating the information to parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure the highest quality of care and education.
  • Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to parents through regular reports and meetings.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Punctuality, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, reliability, team player, values and ethics, and creativity.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position with 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
Work Setting:

Day care centre or nursery school.
