Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT student to join our Operations team as an IT Operations Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced IT professionals to support the daily operations of our technology infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and resolution processes.
- System Maintenance: Collaborate with team members to install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications, guaranteeing optimal performance and reliability.
- Documentation Management: Assist in maintaining documentation related to IT processes, procedures, and technical configurations, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Research and Development: Conduct research on emerging technologies and contribute ideas for process improvements, enhancing our company's competitive edge.
- Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining inventory of IT equipment and supplies, ensuring timely procurement and deployment.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel between divisions to provide support and handle service requests, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Cloud Services: Contribute to the support and maintenance of cloud environments in Azure, guaranteeing seamless integration and functionality.
- O365 Platform: Assist with managing and supporting the O365 platform and various applications, ensuring smooth operation and user experience.
- Client Server Technologies: Deploy and maintain Client Server technologies, including monitoring, refinement, and troubleshooting, ensuring robust performance and scalability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Strong Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting, LAN/WAN, server, PC, and peripherals, Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with messaging.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English, ensuring clear and concise interaction with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling you to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and procedures, ensuring seamless integration and continuous improvement.
