Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Burlington, ON. As a Mechanic with First Student, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
- Assist with mobile emergency services.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain B license while employed – We train.
- At least 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education.
- Possess a mechanic's tool set.
- Willingness to participate in ASE certification program. Training, testing, and bonuses provided.
