We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at CH Logistics. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and order parts and maintain inventory to ensure timely repairs.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date, including test results and repair records.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work as required.
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including emission control systems, and verify repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
- Perform other routine maintenance tasks as required.
The work environment is physically demanding, with dusty, hot, and noisy conditions. You will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Dependability, accuracy, and reliability are essential.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
The work language is English, and the work term is permanent. The hours of work are 35 hours per week.
