About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Davidson Contract Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Repair and Diagnosis: Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Inspections and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and perform tests to diagnose problems.
  • Parts and Labour Estimation: Accurately estimate the cost of parts and labour required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Coaching and Training: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and apprentices.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a truck and transport mechanic trade certification program.
  • Experience: 1-7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Possession of a truck and transport mechanic trade certification.
