Thales is seeking a highly skilled Senior Life Cycle Applications Manager to support all LC4ISR life cycle application management functions, including software lifecycle management. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting engineering studies and analysis to provide technical solutions to stated application or operational requirements/problems.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting engineering studies and analysis to provide technical solutions to stated application or operational requirements/problems.
- Preparing and issuing Material Change Notices (MCNs) whenever Engineering Changes (ECs) affect end-items.
- Defining standards and criteria relevant to applications and software maintenance.
- Preparing, modifying or updating specifications and drawings, software handbooks, application lists, operating manuals and technical instructions and orders.
- Performing configuration management.
- Monitoring and reporting on software applications under management, including cataloguing activities, version control, obsolescence issues, upgrade options, and divestment activities.
- College Diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology or a relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in security engineering, with experience in a minimum of 4 of the following:
- Experience using a recognized Process framework or using a LCMM Handbook.
- Experience working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g. SAP) for equipment cataloguing.
- Experience working on ERP for maintaining and developing checklists.
- Experience working on ERP for coordinating equipment or software distribution.
- Evaluating and providing solutions to deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports (TFR) and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCR).
- Analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements (SOR).
- Reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDP).
- Planning and executing equipment or software demilitarization and disposal.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Security Specialist on Military Command and Control systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in the preparation of technical documents including requirements, specification, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, equipment and software disposal plans.
