Job Title: Geological Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Technologist to join our team at New Gold Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental audits, surveys, and laboratory tests to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. They will also assist in the preparation of rock, mineral, or metal samples and perform data entry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct environmental audits and surveys to identify potential environmental hazards
  • Assist in the preparation of rock, mineral, or metal samples for laboratory analysis
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies
  • Monitor air, water, and soil quality
  • Conduct or assist in environmental monitoring and protection activities
Requirements:
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association
  • MS Office skills
  • Experience in mapping and surveying, geological sampling analysis, and geochemical sampling analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
