About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Talent Advisor to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Strategic Talent Leader in overseeing daily operations and key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the direct and broader strategic talent team.
  • Support the Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President of Operations during times when the Strategic Talent Leader is away.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of WSP's operations and partner with leadership to achieve financial targets and business strategy.
  • Integrate the talent strategy to drive a high-performance and thriving diverse culture.
  • Provide insight and expertise to senior leaders surrounding major change initiatives in the business.
  • Review and analyze People & Culture KPIs, trends, and issues to provide insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
  • Define actions to increase overall engagement, culture, and diversity.
  • Create strong and effective partnerships with internal People & Culture functions.
  • Provide best-in-class service to the business while ensuring all People & Culture practices and programs are embedded in the business.
  • Build relationships with broader Corporate Services teams within WSP to develop and foster collaboration across the business.
  • Manage the collective reputation of the entire People & Culture team.
  • Be an ambassador of the People & Culture programs.
  • Support the implementation of COE programs.
  • Define and deliver solutions to business challenges.
  • Enable execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to consult, influence, and partner with senior leaders in developing/executing people strategies to drive business performance.
  • Ability to proactively identify potential issues and/or areas of opportunity within the business and work to action these findings.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience working with executives (SVP & EVP level).
  • Informal roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-it-done leadership style that is people-centric, effective, and marked by a high level of energy.
  • Well-developed team-building and influencing skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address sensitive People & Culture issues.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within the People & Culture team.
  • Capability, energy, experience, presence, and accountability outlook to quickly establish and maintain the People & Culture team's credibility.
  • Ability to influence management, resolve conflicts, and support senior leaders nationally in a matrix organization.
  • Financial modeling and insight as it relates to compensation and budget review for all labor requirements in your identified group.
  • 10+ years' experience in a strategic/client-facing HR role, preferably in a large, matrix organization.
  • Strong Excel skills.
