About the Role

The Unit Manager is a key leadership position within the Royal Alexandra Hospital, responsible for overseeing the Endoscopy Unit and contributing to the achievement of the hospital's goals. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and leadership to the Endoscopy Unit team
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective care delivery
  • Manage and support human resources within the unit, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Review and improve clinic processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support quality improvement
  • Communicate and implement AHS strategies and initiatives to support timely and effective patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a medical/surgical, emergency, ICU, or other multidisciplinary acute care environment
  • Current registration in good standing with CRNA
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Endoscopy, Ambulatory Care, or Community Care is preferred. Experience leading teams through Quality Improvement is an asset.
