Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Driver Supervisor to join our team at Cranbrook Express (1980) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our truck drivers and ensuring the smooth delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of truck drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
  • Recommend measures to improve work methods and productivity
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to drivers
  • Train or arrange for training of drivers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and that all drivers are aware of and comply with these regulations
  • Recommend personnel actions, such as promotions or disciplinary actions, as necessary
  • Co-ordinate repairs and rentals of vehicles and equipment
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • MS Office skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

Work will be performed in a fast-paced transportation environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust and other hazards. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be flexible in their work schedule.
