Overview

At Canadian Blood Services, we are committed to saving and improving lives through the power of blood donation. We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic Donor Relations & Field Operations team.

This role will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while communicating with donors, registrants, and other stakeholders. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your excellent customer service skills to analyze service needs, provide consistent high-quality customer service experience, advocate for our customers, and refer them to other service or technical departments as needed.

In this hybrid role, you will work in a fast-paced environment where you will interact with customers via various channels, including chat, voice, email, surveys, case management, and social media. You will clarify and record information received in a complete, accurate, concise, and timely manner, taking appropriate action when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through multiple communication channels.
  • Analyze customer service needs and take proactive steps to address them.
  • Advocate for customers by providing empathetic and respectful responses.
  • Refer complex inquiries to other service or technical departments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a contact centre/customer service environment (minimum 3 years).
  • Knowledge of multiple social media platforms and creating engaging posts is an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills (fluency in French is preferred).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and respond quickly to urgent matters.
