Pastry Chef

At East Tea Can, we are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods. You will also prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef. Your duties will include inspecting kitchens and food service areas, training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, ordering supplies and equipment, supervising kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and cleaning kitchen and work areas. You will also be responsible for managing kitchen operations.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
