Job Summary:

As a key member of our HR team, you will drive tactical and strategic initiatives across our manufacturing locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Partnering with local Management, Regional HR Director, and Company President to develop and execute comprehensive HR plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Create and deliver people practices to foster positive working relationships, ensure employees understand company policies and benefits, and communicate organizational changes effectively.
  • Talent Management: Support workforce planning, national recruiting, and succession programs, ensuring competitive salary and benefit programs throughout the region.
  • Training and Coaching: Develop regional training programs, promote mentoring skills, and establish a coaching culture across all locations.
  • People Development: Collaborate with Managers, Regional HR Director, and Company President on people development initiatives, identifying strong present and future leadership talent within the organization.
  • Employment Practices: Ensure compliance management processes and procedures are consistently met across all locations, investigating employee relations issues and concerns.
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Drive the HR Review process, guaranteeing consistent processes across all locations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or Human Resources.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience; professional certification a plus.
  • Experience in multi-site operations, including unionized operations, with up to 50% travel.
  • Strong internal customer focus, collaborative style, high interpersonal skills, and excellent written/oral communication skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating proven organization and time management abilities.
