Research Assistant

As a Research Assistant with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will contribute to the management of projects in the Early Psychosis Program. Your key responsibilities will include study administration, data management, and administrative support. You will work closely with the Principle Investigator to ensure the smooth execution of research studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study Administration: Regular meetings with the Principle Investigator, processing and submitting forms to the Research Ethics Board, accompanying research participants to MRI and EEG studies, coordinating research participant bookings, contacting study subjects, administering and recording study tests, and assisting with subject screening.
- Administrative Support: Acting as a point of contact, providing information and direction, replying to routine correspondence, composing and editing letters and documents, and attending team meetings.
- Data Management: Collecting data, maintaining filing systems, filing study documents, developing and maintaining methods of tracking information, entering and analyzing data, archiving documentation, and coordinating booking of return study visits.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field.
- Completed post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field preferred.
- Two years' research related experience preferred.
- TCPS2: CORE Certification considered an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to draft, format, and edit office correspondence.
- Well-developed organizational, time management, and daily planning skills.
- Ability to work well independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
