Job Summary
Research Associate position available in the Respiratory Epidemiology Research Team at Dalhousie University, conducting research related to lung health and epidemiology of respiratory diseases.
Position Details
The Research Associate will support the Principal Investigator in multiple projects, applying knowledge and skills in epidemiology and research methods to project management, research administration, and knowledge synthesis activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Derive new insights into respiratory epidemiology
• Synthesize knowledge from epidemiological research conducted by the team
• Lead the development of reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other knowledge dissemination materials
• Facilitate meetings with key partners throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop opportunities to exchange information and incorporate new knowledge into project plans
• Work collaboratively with students and research staff on multi-disciplinary projects
Required Qualifications
• Masters degree in Epidemiology with minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and effectively manage time
• Critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to analyze information and problem-solve
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Assets
• Expertise in respiratory research
• PhD in Epidemiology, or other relevant discipline
