We are seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our materials and logistics team, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our warehouse management system.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field, with experience in warehouse operations, supply chain management, and inventory control. You will be responsible for optimizing material movement through the facility, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to materials operations and systems, and managing customer, supplier, and inventory management within the materials group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the materials and logistics team to implement and maintain the warehouse management system.
  • Optimize material movement through the facility for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Play a key role in the implementation of the new SAP system, supporting material and logistics in developing and launching SAP as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to materials operations and systems.
  • Manage customer, supplier, and inventory management within the materials group, monitoring and maintaining appropriate inventory levels by managing vendor shipments and release adherence.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate over and under shipments from suppliers, utilizing system-based reports to identify risks and provide daily status updates, proactively managing potential shortages.
