Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Riverside Natural Foods Ltd.
About the Role: As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing production processes that increase workplace safety and quality, optimize efficiency, and reduce waste.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Support day-to-day performance improvement at the facility, focusing on speed increase, stop reduction, scrap reduction, and labor efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, quality, and maintenance, to identify and resolve issues that may impact production efficiency or quality.
- Conduct process audits to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for process optimization.
- Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements related to production processes.
- Lead and coach supervisors, technicians, and operators to identify and analyze improvement opportunities using lean tools.
- Ensure teams understand key performance metrics, such as OEE, downtime, stops, scrap, and consumer complaints, and how to access data.
- Create and maintain value stream maps, bottleneck analyses, and loss Pareto's to identify priorities and opportunities for business growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in production, maintenance, or a process engineering role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity working with ERP.
