About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Operations Manager to join our team at Manulife. This is a key role that will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Treasury department, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Treasury operations team, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance and Controls team to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Provide support to the Director, Treasury Compliance & Controls, in the development and implementation of the First Line of Defense Compliance Framework.
  • Document business continuity plans and ensure that all necessary procedures are in place to minimize disruption in the event of an outage.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, including risk MOR reporting, regulatory reporting for cash balances, and various Compliance-related reports.
  • Participate in audit processes, including SOX and Key Risk audits, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Requirements
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise in treasury operations and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including OFSI guidelines & industry standards related to financial compliance.
  • Experienced in risk management & internal controls.
  • Tech-savvy, with advanced Excel skills including macros, and intermediate proficiency in analytics automation tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to connect information from various sources to investigate variances and explain differences using the treasury management system and other data sources.
  • Experience working in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are valued.
