We are seeking a skilled Building Systems Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the coordination, direction, and control of maintenance activities at the Health Sciences Centre.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for the execution of repairs and preventive maintenance required throughout the Centre. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years' experience as a General Contractor or Project Manager/Foreman (Carpentry) and/or in a professional capacity with demonstrated leadership, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and direct all maintenance activities
- Supervise and train shop staff in the operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of building systems
- Schedule staff and prepare reports and estimates as required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of seven years' experience as a General Contractor or Project Manager/Foreman (Carpentry)
- Demonstrated leadership, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required
- Graduate from a recognized technical institute with a major in Civil Technology, or alternatively a current Manitoba Journeyman Carpenter Tradesman's Certificate
