About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Asset Manager to join our team at the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). As a key member of our Registration department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective regulation of our capital markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Toronto office of our Registration department, overseeing the review and approval of registration applications, submissions, and reviews.
  • Provide legal support to our national Registration team on the interpretation of registration-related rules, applications, submissions, and reviews.
  • Manage sensitive and/or high-profile registration matters and timely escalate them to our Vice-President, Registration.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of training programs as required for the Registration department.
  • Support our VP, Registration on strategic or other key projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Laws Degree.
  • At least ten years' experience in private practice, in-house, or regulatory position.
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry, legal, or regulatory experience.
  • Solid understanding of CIRO rules as it applies to registration-related matters.
  • Direct experience on registration-related matters an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of the securities regulatory framework.
  • Strong working knowledge of administrative law principles.
