Cosmic Growers Inc is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team in farming operations. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for cultivating crops on our vertical farming system, ensuring the highest quality produce is harvested and prepared for market.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate and Maintain Crops: Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
- Harvest and Prepare Produce: Hand harvest vegetables, grade produce according to size, shape, color, and volume, and pack fruits and vegetables for market.
- Work Site Environment: Work in a remote location, handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
- Weight Handling: Lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and handle crates, supplies, and farm produce.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs and support social and labor market integration.
- Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide a supportive work environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in farming or a related field.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and gloves.
