About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Tom Smith Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport trucks and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Issues: Use your expertise to identify and fix problems with truck systems, including engine, electrical, and transmission components.
  • Inspect and Test Units: Regularly inspect and test mechanical units to ensure they are functioning properly and make any necessary repairs.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide them with accurate information about the work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other technicians and staff to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engine, electrical, and transmission components.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects.
