Are you a skilled woodworker with a passion for creating high-quality millwork? Do you have experience working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a team to meet deadlines?
We are seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team at Professional Millwork Ltd. As a skilled woodworker, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites
- Survey building locations and levels
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
- Valid driver's license
- Physically demanding work environment
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads
