About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Cobourg Firehouse subs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks.

Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Lead and direct the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional customer service.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality service.

Inventory Management and Quality Control

Estimate and manage ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that food and service meet our high quality control standards.

Customer Service and Conflict Resolution

Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Administrative and Reporting Tasks

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Work Schedule Management

Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operation of the food service department.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment

Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and strong organizational skills.

Standing for Extended Periods

Stand for extended periods, moving frequently to perform tasks and interact with staff and customers.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Availability and Relocation

Be available to start immediately and willing to relocate for this position.

Language and Communication

Proficient in English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
