Truck Driver Supervisor

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver Supervisor to join our team at Shiva Transport Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of truck drivers and ensuring the smooth execution of our transportation services.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of truck drivers and ensure they are equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and schedule driver routes and assignments to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of company vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve driver retention and reduce turnover.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and coaching to drivers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • A Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the transportation industry
