Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Supervisor and Project Coordinator to join our team at MOYAY CONSTRUCTION & TRADING INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, supervising workers, and coordinating activities to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Supervise and train workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure that new employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions to ensure the right people are in the right roles
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to manage project data and track progress
  • Set up machines and equipment to ensure they are properly maintained and functioning correctly
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure that projects are completed within budget
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to protect employees and the public
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure that the right people are in the right roles
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements and ensure that they are met
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies to ensure that projects have the necessary resources
  • Lead and instruct individuals to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory or project coordination role
  • 2 years of experience in a construction or related field
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings
  • Ability to operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a construction environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards
  • May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces
  • May be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
