Job Opportunity:

Aecon is seeking a skilled Proposal Coordinator to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering projects with speed, intelligence, and safety.

As a Proposal Coordinator, you will work closely with the Proposal Manager to coordinate proposal submissions from bid/no bid decisions through contract execution. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a single point of contact with clients, breaking out and assigning deliverables, developing proposal outlines, and scheduling/facilitating kickoff calls and touchpoints.
  • Ensuring RFP compliance, facilitating reviews, performing final polish and quality control on all documents, managing post-bid clarifications, and building proposal presentation PowerPoints.
  • Writing various proposal sections, including executive summaries, project descriptions, resumes, standard responses, and support writing/developing new plans with operations/estimating teams.
  • Assisting in managing, monitoring, and maintaining the proposal content management database and content libraries through SharePoint and Expedience.
  • Supporting business development initiatives in building strategy content, BD decks, and pipeline management.
  • Participating in proposal strategy and review sessions.
  • Document management of the submission and supporting content/document management of the bid library.

Requirements:

  • A self-motivated team player with 2 to 5 years of proposal experience, preferably within the utilities construction industry.
  • The ability to manage proposals and internal projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong English language and writing skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to proofread and edit content.
  • Strong computer skills and expertise in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced/agile environment with competing priorities and capable of critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with shared goals.
  • APMP Foundation or Practitioner Certification is considered an asset.
  • Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or Business degree, or equivalent work experience.
