Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Casual Transfer Station Attendant to join our team at our Rolla and Tomslake domestic garbage transfer sites. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to individuals dropping off garbage and recycling, while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exercise good public relations at all times
  • Open and close access gates at the Transfer Station in accordance with hours of operation
  • Conduct routine inspections of perimeter fences to identify unauthorized entry or damage
  • Dispose of unauthorized materials dumped at the entrance gate or other locations
  • Direct traffic flow at the Transfer Stations to ensure public safety
  • Supervise waste placement into containers and compactor systems
  • Remove non-compliant materials from deposited loads
  • Prevent scavenging of waste, recyclables, or product stewardship materials
  • Maintain all buildings on site in a clean condition

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of general laborer experience
  • Competent in completing daily documents
  • Good understanding of regional Occupational Health and Safety requirements
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in challenging weather conditions
