Maintenance Planner

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team in Mississauga, ON. This role will play a vital part in the administration of day-to-day operations within the Maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and layout work assignments as advised by the maintenance management team.
- Assist with developing a planned maintenance schedule.
- Control inventory and requisition new and spare parts.
- Handle work orders in the Manufacturing Execution System.
- Optimize preventative maintenance work orders.
- Review and develop corrective work orders.
- Identify and detail safety requirements.
- Participate in Health & Safety, Environmental Management Systems, 5S, and energy conservation initiatives.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing is an asset.
- Solid understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial maintenance operations and equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven knowledge of 5S methodology.
- Above-average planning, organizational, and scheduling skills.
- Effective communication in English.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.

This is a full-time position that reports to the Maintenance Manager, working a 40-hour work week (Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 3:30pm). The incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment, requiring varying degrees of moderate physical labor.
