About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will work under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals to support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a Continuing Care Assistant Program and Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness. You should also have Current Basic Life Support Certification and demonstrate effective listening skills, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and have competencies in other languages, with French being an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $23.71 - $25.70.

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
