Assistant Director of Resident Care

Mon Sheong Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Resident Care to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing and personal support services within our long-term care home.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the nursing and personal support services team to ensure high-quality care is provided to our residents.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Director of Resident Care to develop and implement strategic plans to improve resident care and services.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Ensure that all aspects of resident care are delivered in a safe and respectful manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.
- Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care facility, including experience in infection control and leadership roles.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
