The Role
In this critical role, you will operate raisebore/longhole drills and associated equipment, coordinating the movement, setup, and teardown of drilling equipment and drills. You will also assist in the installation and removal of bits and reamers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate raisebore/longhole drills and associated equipment
- Coordinate the movement, setup, and teardown of drilling equipment and drills
- Assist in the installation and removal of bits and reamers
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a raisebore/longhole operator in a mining environment
- Minimum of 2 years underground work experience
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Rotating day shift/night shift schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in longhole drilling and blasting
- Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan Blasting certificate
- Mine Rescue experience
- Ability to operate small pieces of equipment (skid steer)
