About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Raisebore/Driller 2 to join our team at McArthur River, the world's largest high-grade uranium mine. As a key member of our drilling team, you will be responsible for operating raisebore/longhole drills and associated equipment, coordinating the movement and setup of drilling equipment, and assisting with the installation and removal of bits and reamers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate raisebore/longhole drills and associated equipment
- Coordinate the movement, setup, and teardown of drilling equipment
- Assist with the installation and removal of bits and reamers
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a raisebore/longhole operator in a mining environment
- Minimum of 2 years underground work experience
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Rotating day shift/night shift schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in longhole drilling and blasting
- Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan Blasting certificate
- Mine Rescue experience
- Ability to operate small pieces of equipment (skid steer)
