We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at 1087937 B.C. LTD. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Reading and interpreting specifications or following verbal instructions
  • Moving tools, equipment, and other materials
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a noisy environment. You will be required to work with minimal supervision and be able to lift heavy materials.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
  • Reliability and punctuality
