Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Academic Instructor to join our team at Bay River College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supervising students in a variety of academic settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and laboratory, shop, and field studies
  • Supervise students in work sessions and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses and deliver lectures and presentations
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in teaching and supervision
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Working Conditions:

  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Permanent position
  • English language required
