About the Role

Groupe Polygon is seeking a highly skilled Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounts receivable department, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing credit information from our clients, primarily located in the province of Quebec.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough credit investigations and establish credit limits for new and existing clients;
  • Send account opening requests to new clients and follow up on their status;
  • Verify client accounts and credit history, and conduct regular investigations to ensure accuracy;
  • Enter collection activity details into our accounts receivable system and maintain accurate records;
  • Analyze reasons for non-payment and work with clients to recover outstanding amounts;
  • Reconcile accounts and produce statements to ensure accuracy;
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • DEP in office automation or DEC in administration or a related field;
  • Fluent in spoken and written French (essential);
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (essential);
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP);
  • Experience in the construction industry (an asset);
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment;
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
