Accounts Payable Specialist

Groupe Polygon is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:- Invoice Processing: Validate and process invoices daily using our software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Supplier Management: Verify and reconcile supplier statements, monitor disputed invoices, and coordinate resolution of supplier requests or issues with other departments.
- Payment Processing: Process pre-authorized payments (PPAs) and analyze and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Enter and verify invoice data in the computer system, reconcile major and inter-company accounts, and manage the accounts payable email inbox.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in accounts payable.
- Education: College diploma or certificate in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written French and English (essential).
- Skills: Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Table), knowledge of sales tax application in Canadian provinces (essential), and experience in accounting for expenses, credit cards, and managing different taxes (essential).
