Overview of the Role

As a vital member of the Ta na wa Ns7éyx̱nitm ta Snew̓iyelh Language and Cultural Affairs Department, this position serves as the primary cultural consultant for Squamish Nation community members. Reporting directly to the Manager of Culture, the role involves acting as a liaison to external organizations and providing support for cultural initiatives aimed at both internal and external stakeholders. The Cultural Relations Specialist also participates in various committees and offers community programming while supporting cultural activities for organizations beyond the Squamish Nation. In addition, this role includes providing backup to the cultural team as necessary, overseeing the work of the Cultural Coordinator, and ensuring all information is reviewed and approved in collaboration with the Manager. A deep understanding of Squamish Nation's heritage, culture, traditions, and language is essential for success in this position.

Compensation

Salary range: $67,365 - $75,358 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
