Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Parts Salesperson to join our team at Velocity Truck Centres Canada. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting, selling, and securing orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cold call new prospects to introduce our products and services
  • Revisit existing customers to ensure we are top of mind for their parts needs
  • Visit designated territory to deliver products and maintain customer relationships
  • Assist customers in selecting products and services that meet their needs
  • Utilize computer systems to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, make sales contracts, stock adjustments, and process credit requests
Requirements
  • Experience in sales or knowledge of the transportation industry
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to determine appropriate actions
  • Customer service-focused with strong communication skills to service and maintain customer relationships, including customer concerns
  • Proven results-driven attitude
  • Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, or marketing is an asset
  • Apprentice to Journeyman Parts Technician ticket is an asset
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
