Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Health and rehab research Inc. in a permanent position. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and provide companionship and support during these activities.
  • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for our patients.
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse to monitor their health and well-being.
  • Weigh, lift, turn and position patients with care and attention to their needs.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure that we have the necessary equipment and materials to provide quality care.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher safely and efficiently.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond promptly to their requests.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations to provide immediate care and support.
Security and Safety
  • Basic security clearance is required for this position.

  • Ability to distinguish between colours is required for tasks such as preparing and administering medications.
  • Sound discrimination is necessary for responding to patients' needs and requests.
  • Standing for extended periods is required for tasks such as providing patient care and support.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking is necessary for tasks such as preparing medical equipment and supplies.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling is required for tasks such as preparing and administering medications.
  • Walking is necessary for tasks such as transporting patients and providing patient care and support.
