Counsellor - Indigenous Community Support

St. Amant is seeking a Counsellor to support the Jordan's Principle initiative, ensuring access to health and social services for children with disabilities in their community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide counselling services in accordance with St. Amant's Mission and Values, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement service and program goals, participating in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Work effectively with clients, caregivers, and families, supervising and teaching others as needed.
- Travel to remote communities in Manitoba, including overnight stays, to provide services.
- Masters degree in counselling, social work, psychology, or related field from a recognized university.
- Previous counselling experience, including individual work with children and adults.
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to make use of them.
- Ability to identify high-risk situations and respond appropriately.
- Valid Manitoba driver's license and vehicle for community-based programs.
- Experience working within Indigenous communities/cultures.
- Knowledge of an Indigenous culture and language.
- Ability to work flexible hours as necessary.
