Position Overview:
We are currently in search of a Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll functions in accordance with financial regulations and organizational policies. This role reports directly to the Payroll Manager and is crucial in ensuring precise and prompt compensation for all staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer payroll for both Canadian and US employees, adhering to deadlines and legal requirements
- Handle Family Support and garnishment information accurately
- Reconcile payroll documentation and address any inconsistencies
- Ensure accurate payment processing for vendors
- Create and distribute monthly payroll reports
- Support year-end payroll processes
- Engage in system improvements and special initiatives
Essential Skills:
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative team member who can work independently
- Proficient in both French and English
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in administration or accounting
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with Canadian and US payroll regulations
- Experience with leading payroll software and SAP systems
