Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Time Infrastructure Manager to join our team at the Government of Northwest Territories.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice to community governments to ensure the efficient and effective planning, design, construction, and operation of community public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on project planning and program evaluation theories and principles, including scheduling, cost estimation, financial management, and project delivery.
  • Develop and implement knowledge of community infrastructure, including potable water, storm water and wastewater systems, parks and recreational facilities, solid waste disposal, roads and bridges, and fire stations.
  • Apply asset management principles and processes to ensure the optimal use of community infrastructure.
  • Conduct research and economic feasibility studies to inform infrastructure planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement infrastructure planning methods and data collection and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with financing and procurement processes.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in engineering, planning, project management, physical science, or a related field, and 3 years of professional experience in a related area such as project management of capital infrastructure projects, municipal infrastructure, municipal program delivery, and infrastructure planning for water and sanitation, earthworks, transportation systems, and building construction.
