Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring they meet sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assign tasks and duties to sales staff, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Hire, train, and develop sales staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
  • Authorize returns and exchanges, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Establish and maintain work schedules, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Prepare sales reports, analyzing sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their experience.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that products are displayed attractively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, ensuring that they are working safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
